Your Canon is a career reflection tool that uses AI-powered conversation to help professionals:

•Discover patterns in their professional experience
•Recognize what has always been true about their contributions
•Gain clarity on their professional identity through reflection

Important Disclaimers

Not Professional Advice

Your Canon is a reflection tool, not professional career counseling, coaching, or therapy. We do not provide licensed career counseling, mental health services, legal/financial/business advice, or guaranteed employment outcomes.

AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude models) and Deepgram's speech-to-text service. AI-generated content may contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies. Use your own judgment, consult licensed professionals for important decisions, and do not rely solely on AI recommendations.

Mental Health Crisis

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, do not use this service. Call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text “HELLO” to 741741, or call 911 for immediate assistance.

Voice Input

The Service offers optional voice input. By using it, you acknowledge:

•Voice is sent to Deepgram for real-time speech-to-text conversion
•Audio is processed in real-time and not stored
•Only the text transcript is saved as part of your conversation
•You may review and edit transcripts before submission

User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

•Be at least 18 years of age
•Provide accurate information during your reflection session
•Use the Service for lawful purposes only
•Not attempt to manipulate, exploit, or harm the Service
•Not share personal information of others without their consent

Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service, including its design, conversation framework, and methodology, is owned by Your Canon and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you provide. We use it to provide and personalize the Service, generate your Canon, and improve in aggregate, anonymized form.

Your Canon Statement

The Canon statement generated for you is yours to use. You may share it, reference it professionally, or use it however you wish.

Payment Terms

Thresholds 1–2 of Build Your Canon are free. Thresholds 3–5 require a one-time purchase of $149. Canon Partner is an optional $29/month subscription. All pricing is clearly disclosed before purchase.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

•The Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind
•We are not liable for any career decisions you make based on the Service
•We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
•Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Your Canon from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
